Meet Furniture Manager, Seath
We caught up with Seath, Furniture Manager at our Bristol showroom, to learn more about his long career with Gardiner Haskins and his passion for helping customers find the perfect furniture.
When did you first join Gardiner Haskins Interiors?
I first joined the business back in 1997, so I’ve been here quite a while! I started out working in the dining furniture and upholstery department and also spent some time helping out in the warehouse.
It didn’t take long to realise that sales was where I really enjoyed working, and I continued developing my experience in the furniture departments from there.
What is your current role at Gardiner Haskins Interiors?
I have been the Beds & Furniture Manager since August 2021. When the business originally redeveloped we only had a bed showroom which I have expanded to include more bedroom furniture and a wide range of upholstery including a dedicated Leather Studio in recent years.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
For me it’s all about customer service. I’m passionate about making sure every customer has a great experience when they visit the showroom.
Beds and furniture is something people live with every day, so it’s important that they feel confident in what they choose. I always want customers to leave the showroom happy, knowing they’ve found something that’s right for their home.
What can customers expect when they visit the showroom?
A friendly welcome and plenty of help if they need it. Some customers come in knowing exactly what they want, while others are just starting to explore ideas.
I enjoy helping people compare options, think about comfort, size and style, and find furniture that fits their space perfectly.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I’ve always been a keen snooker fan and have played since I was young. I’m also an avid follower of Bristol’s own Judd Trump, and it’s been great watching his success over the years.
